BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING NOTES - March 10, 2010

PELIMINARIES:  Call to Order, Pledge to the Flag, Roll Call and Minutes

REPORTS:

                BOARD SECRETARY/BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR REPORT- This incorporated Budget Summary Report, Revenue Summary Report, Transfer Status report, Transfers, Board Secretary Report, Custodian of School Funds Report and Warrants.   APPROVED.

SCHOOL BUDGET

  • Roll call vote to approve the 2010-2011 School Budget for submission to County Office. APPROVED
  • Increase of $.001836
  • There will be a public hearing on the budget and then a public vote
  • Currently, enrollment for next year is 57 students, 22 will be tuition

RESOLUTION- Capital Projects surplus from Stone Harbor Elementary School $16,877.00 to be transferred to                   current fund.  APPROVED

CHIEF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT- request for school trips, travel policy-new regulations, buildings and grounds, Honor Roll, Concrete problem and evaluations- APPROVED

OLD BUSINESS- None

NEW BUSINESS- None

FOR YOUR INFORMATION

  • Reported a credit of $65,000 from Middle Twp
  • Enrolled three new students, one special needs and two non-English speaking
  • 2000 to 3500 brochures to be mailed or placed in school, doctors offices, and real estate offices
  • Possible move of election of School Board Officials and budget approval to November
